Hey Church,
I want to remind you of an opportunity to make a huge impact in Bloomington Normal this Thanksgiving! Yes, you heard me right—Thanksgiving. But to make an impact, we have to get to work this week! Every year, we partner with Home Sweet Home Ministries to provide meals for those who may have difficulty doing so this Thanksgiving. We accomplish this yearly through an event here at Vale called “Big Give!”
Now, if you have been a part of Vale for more than a year, you are probably familiar with what Big Give Weekend has looked like in the past. In years past, on Labor Day weekend, people would come to one of our services for a time of worship, and then we sent the church back out to shop at Hy-Vee for the items that would provide for HSHM's Thanksgiving outreach. We are grateful for your generosity over the years during this event and look forward to continuing our partnership with HSHM.
However, after years of doing this Big Give event, we have decided it was time to revamp all the great aspects of Big Give—the heart and generosity—into a way that would be best for our guests joining us for the first time on Labor Day weekend and how we can be an even bigger blessing to our community. Everything you need to know is right here on this page, so take some time to read and find out how you can make a difference in someone’s life this Holiday season.
